Caves of Prometheus
Georgian legends say that somewhere in this area, angry gods chained a young man to a rock for transmitting Olympian fire to people. Over the years, every traveler passing by has seen all the torment of a rebellious young man named Prometheus.
In honor of him, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili renamed this solutional cave as Prometheus Cave in 2010.
More often it is also called the Tskhaltubo cave, due to the fact that it is located in the suburbs of the city with the same name. Such natural creations as this cave have always arisen an interest, surprise and popularity.
Martville Canyon
Martvili district is one of the most beautiful corners of Megrelian region. And it deserves to come here. It is worth going for the sake of fascinating sceneries, emerald water, fresh air, boating and coolness.
The canyon is relatively divided into 2 parts, in the upper one you can go boating and in the lower you can see fabulous cascading waterfalls.
Return to Tbilisi.
